Mixer and press operator

Key Job Responsibilities General Receive deliveries of raw materials from carrier deliveries Move and stock materials with hand truck, pumplack or forklift. Mixer Move batch material to mixer area. Measure mixer materials and place in mixer. Operate mixer per requirements for each batch. Remove mixed materials, place them in bins and move to press area. Clear mixer per procedure and prep for next job Perform maintenance on mixer as necessary. Press Place molds in press and align per instructions. Load materials into press cavity. Set-up and operate press per requirements for each batch. Run sample testing on molded blocks per requirement for each batch. Remove bolded blocks from the press and transfer to press area. Perform cleaning maintenance on press as necessary. Ovens Place molded blocks in racks on curing ovens Set oven controls per batch requirements. Monitor oven for proper operation cycle Remove cured blocks from over and place on transfer cart. Perform cleaning maintenance on press as necessary Key physical requirements for a mixer, press and oven operator: Lifting and carrying: Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. Operating material handling equipment. Hand truck, pallet jack or forklift Standing and walking: Ability to stand for extended periods and walk around the work area.

Bending and reaching:

Flexibility to bend and reach for materials, work under mixer, press or ovens to perform operation, cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Manual dexterity:

Fine motor skills to operate controls and adjust settings on the mixer, press and ovens.

Visual acuity:

Good vision to monitor the mixing process and identify potential issues.

Endurance:

Ability to maintain concentration and focus for extended periods.

Pay:

$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
