Full Job Description Now Hiring:
1st Shift Machine Operator - Corrugated Department (Temp-to-Perm)
Location:
Putnam, CT Pay Rate:
$20.42/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (½-hour unpaid lunch)
Job Summary:
Operate corrugated box manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality packaging products (printed, slotted, and glued boxes). This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards while overseeing workflow and supporting team members.
Machine Operator Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with forklift operators to ensure correct materials are supplied Inspect stock for size, scoring, and grade before machine setup Set up and operate printing (1-2 colors) per work order specifications Verify pH levels and color accuracy using testing equipment Adjust machine settings for proper print placement, scoring, and slotting Perform regular quality checks throughout production runs Stack and label finished products for next-stage processing Complete work orders and production documentation accurately Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and make equipment adjustments Perform first-piece inspections and ensure all QA standards are met Train or assist team members on operational procedures Maintain a clean workspace using 5S standards Follow all safety procedures and ensure safe handling of materials Lift materials weighing 50-75 lbs and remain on feet throughout the shift Support team objectives and complete additional duties as needed
Machine Operator Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in manufacturing or corrugated production preferred Strong attention to detail and quality control Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures Ability to use gauges, jigs, and measuring devices Familiarity with power tools and specialty tooling Good documentation and reporting skills Training or leadership experience is a plus Commitment to workplace safety Revere Staffing Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and values diversity in the workplace. #
