This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC saw equipment to cut various metal materials (steel, aluminum, stainless) to precise specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity. While experience is preferred, training can be provided as needed. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC saws Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and work orders Measure and verify material dimensions using calipers and tape measures Load and unload raw materials (bars, tubes, structural shapes) Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy and quality Inspect finished cuts for length, tolerance, and square Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all shop safety procedures Qualifications Ability to identify the correct material from the cut list using a caliper or tape measure. (Training provided as necessary) Ability to physically remove structural stock from rack or delivery truck using a crane (Training provided as necessary) Preferred Skills Material handling experience Familiarity with shop math (fractions, decimals, angles) Work Environment Industrial metal fabrication shop Fast-paced, production-driven setting Position Applying For
