Job Description

Make an Impact Operate the laminator according to established standards while producing high-quality products that meet customer expectations and company goals. This position is trained on SQF principles and is required to follow them and report through the chain of command and the non-conformance program any issues of food safety that they may encounter or observe. What You'll Do Operate the laminator to produce high volumes of quality product with minimal supervision Monitor performance and react quickly to errors or deviations from specifications Maintain posted line speeds while ensuring product quality standards are met Perform required quality checks on all materials produced Select and create recipes for jobs as needed Set up adhesive stations and maintain proper gaps Maintain continuous exchange of unwind rolls Accurately record production data in systems (ERP or data collection systems) Verify materials are correct and properly oriented for each job Center unwind shafts and adjust machine settings as needed Read and operate treater setpoints and controls Inspect rewind rolls and adjust as needed for quality Perform final product quality testing Read and fully understand job tickets Support team operations, including covering breaks when needed Perform downtime activities and changeovers within expected timeframes Reduce waste and downtime through efficient operation Change impression and coating rollers as needed Change adhesive units when switching between solvent and solventless Perform routine repairs and assist maintenance with mechanical issues Operations / Compliance Follow all company safety, sanitation, and housekeeping policies Safely energize and de-energize equipment Handle and dispose of hazardous waste per plant procedures and RCRA requirements Properly label and manage waste containers with accurate hazard information Identify and communicate waste streams generated during production Maintain clean and compliant accumulation areas and report issues immediately Follow all SQF and GMP guidelines to keep the plant "customer ready" Tools & Systems Laminator equipment and production systems ERP / Shop Floor Data Collection systems What You Bring Mechanically inclined with strong understanding of machine components Ability to read a tape measure and follow detailed instructions Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including leading when needed Basic to strong computer skills Knowledge of raw materials, testing methods, and operating ranges Strong color perception Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and hazardous materials handling Why Join Us Competitive pay: $27-$35/hour
