Job Description

Our client is currently seeking or in need of a Machine Operator in Newark, Delaware. This position is a great opportunity for someone with production experience who is comfortable operating machinery, performing quality checks, and working with computer-based systems. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow safety and quality procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires someone who can stay organized, communicate clearly with team leads and supervisors, and help keep production running efficiently throughout the shift.
The Day-to-Day:
Load and unload materials into production machinery Perform PT1 Strapper and PT1 Feeder duties as required Set up machine components properly and verify equipment readiness before operation Monitor machines during production to identify issues, jams, or error messages Make minor non-mechanical adjustments, including clearing jams and completing machine calibration Use a computer interface, keyboard, and mouse to manage work assignments and respond to system prompts Collect machine performance information and enter production data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and consistency Resolve machine productivity and product quality concerns when possible Report critical data, production concerns, and improvement recommendations to the Production Lead or Supervisor Support internal and external audit requirements by following company procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all safety, housekeeping, and production standards Complete additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous machine operation experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred Strong communication skills Good computer skills, including basic Microsoft Excel knowledge Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer-based machine interface Organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control Able to troubleshoot minor machine issues and follow corrective instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are required
Pay Rate:
$16.00 per hour
Schedule:
