Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will support daily operations within the factory by assisting with assembly, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will contribute to smooth production processes, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met. Duties Assembly of products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and quality. Safely move materials and inventory within the warehouse and manufacturing areas. Support the setup and organization of the assembly line to optimize workflow efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and housekeeping standards. Assist in warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock replenishment, and shipping/receiving activities. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while upholding safety regulations. Must have experience with power tools and able to work without supervision. Qualifications Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly processes is advantageous. Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and hand tools is essential; forklift certification is a plus. Strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and safety standards. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks reliably.
