Job Description

Our firm is representing a top-tier manufacturing facility in search of a dedicated Machine Operator for their Index department. This is a "doer" role designed for someone who takes pride in extreme accuracy. You will begin on the first shift for comprehensive training before moving to the second shift as a key member of the production team. In this tight-tolerance environment, quality is the only acceptable standard. Whether you are a seasoned operator or a mechanically inclined individual with the right aptitude and attitude, this facility provides a professional environment for those who focus on excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Index machinery to produce high-precision components with extremely tight tolerances. Conduct frequent quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure every part meets exact specifications. Maintain a high level of focus and attention to detail; in this facility, quality work is the primary requirement. Monitor machine performance and notify lead operators of any deviations in quality or mechanical function. Maintain a clean and organized workstation to support a safe, high-precision environment.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills:
Must be proficient in reading and using calipers and micrometers.
Blueprint Reading:
The ability to interpret blueprints is highly desired and considered a significant plus.
Precision Mindset:
A deep commitment to quality work; a "nothing less will do" approach to manufacturing.
Aptitude and Attitude:
For those with limited experience, a high mechanical aptitude and the right professional attitude are required for entry-level consideration.
Flexibility:
Ability to train on the first shift and successfully transition to a permanent second-shift role.
