Job Description

Most manufacturing jobs are either slow-paced prototyping or low-skill "button pushing." This role is the middle ground where true skill is tested. We are representing a premier Clearwater-area manufacturer that specializes in high-volume metal production where tight tolerances are required. We aren't just looking for an operator; we are looking for a specialist who understands how metal behaves under the thermal stress of high-volume runs. You are the "first line of defense" for quality, tasked with maintaining a zero-defect mindset across a full production shift. We are looking for 2 people. Training will be on first shift and one will transition to 2nd shift and one to 3rd shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
High-Tolerance Production:
Consistently produce precision metal components, hitting rigorous production quotas while maintaining tolerances.
Technical Quality Control:
Perform real-time inspections using micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges to ensure every part remains within the "allowable zone."
Machine Optimization:
Manage the operation of Yang or Index platforms at maximum efficiency. You must have the "machinist's ear"—identifying changes in machine sound or part finish before they become failures.
Blueprint Literacy:
Navigate and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T symbols to ensure every part meets the "as-designed" specifications.
Material Integrity:
Monitor tool wear and perform necessary offset adjustments to compensate for material variances during high-speed runs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven Precision:
1-3+ years of experience in a high-volume CNC metal manufacturing environment.
Measurement Mastery:
Expert ability to read and interpret precision instruments (micrometers/calipers) is a non-negotiable baseline requirement.
Machinery Knowledge:
Previous experience with Yang lathes or Index multi-spindle CNC machines is highly preferred. The "Reliability"
Factor:
This is a high-velocity shop. We reward professionals who take pride in their uptime and are willing to put in the effort to hit critical production goals.
Professionalism:
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with the Quality Assurance team.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
