Job Description:
Machine Operator Gannett Publishing Services Gainesville, FL We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Team Lead to oversee daily operations in our small-scale manufacturing plant specializing in printing and packaging. The ideal candidate will have experience in the printing industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. This role is critical in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of efficiency and team morale.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of production workers to meet daily manufacturing goals. Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to ensure optimal use of resources and equipment. Monitor production quality , troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations. Track performance metrics , report on production output, downtime, and improvement opportunities. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the printing or packaging industry. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of printing processes (e.g., flexographic, offset, digital) and related equipment. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Proficiency with basic computer systems and production tracking tools.
Working Conditions:
