Blending Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Blending Technician to join our team in Lakeland, FL. As a Blending Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products, adhering to safety and quality standards, and operating blending equipment efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) in the warehouse or production areas. Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards as per corporate, customer, and governing body guidelines. Operate batching/blending equipment in the assigned area, ensuring training and certification are up-to-date. Transport required ingredients and pre-weighs by forklift to and from designated areas, verifying all ingredients against SAP, food safety, and inventory control parameters. Program bulk ingredient delivery systems and follow batching/blending sheets accurately. Obtain blend tank samples for quality testing and make necessary adjustments as per quality department instructions. Complete and forward all required documentation for batching/blending operations to QA/Blending department. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift, including CIP/COP sanitation of lines, tanks, and equipment. Unload and manage tankers of bulk concentrates and report any non-compliance or safety issues to management. Essential Skills Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment. Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMP, and Hygiene. Ability to routinely lift 50lbs and perform duties in a high-stress environment. Strong mathematical skills for measurements and formulas. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing. Forklift certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve operational issues. Basic computer skills for operating production software and logging data. Ability to analyze data and process parameters to optimize production. Participation in safety audits and inspections. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a dynamic production facility with a 6pm - 6:30am shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
