Packaging Lead Summary:
Provides daily leadership and support to packaging employees to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and compliance within a GMP manufacturing environment. Assists the Supervisor with daily operations, employee training, scheduling, and packaging activities while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead packaging and labeling operations for pharmaceutical products. Ensure compliance with cGMPs, SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards. Support daily production scheduling and communicate operational needs to the team. Train and assist packaging operators in packaging processes and equipment operation. Perform quality checks and ensure accurate completion of batch records and production documentation. Set up, operate, clean, and maintain packaging equipment and work areas. Monitor packaging processes and document operational parameters. Investigate discrepancies, assist with GMP investigations, and report issues to management. Verify component weights, product accountability, and packaging accuracy. Support continuous improvement, productivity, and cost-conscious operations. Assist with SOP revisions, batch record creation, and packaging documentation updates. Promote teamwork, safety, and compliance throughout the operation.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, food, or GMP packaging/manufacturing environments. Previous leadership or lead operator experience preferred. Strong knowledge of cGMPs, SOPs, batch records, and packaging operations. Experience operating packaging machinery and performing documentation review. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. #PRO123

$29.00 - $30.00 per hour
