Machine Operator P Packaging Orlando, FL Job Details Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Defect detection (quality control) Machine operation Dimensional inspection Quality assurance within manufacturing Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Wicket & Bag Machine Operator to run and maintain our bag-making equipment used to produce polyethylene and flexible packaging bags. This role involves machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, quality control, and daily production documentation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wicket baggers, side-seal or bottom-seal machines, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate wicket bag machines, side-seal, or bottom-seal bag-making equipment . Adjust machine speeds, temperatures, sealing parameters, and cutting blades to meet production specs. Load rolls, thread film, and monitor web alignment during production. Inspect bags for proper seal quality, dimensions, perforations, gussets, wickets, and print alignment. Troubleshoot machine issues, including film jams, seal problems, misfeeds, and tension variations. Perform quality checks throughout each production run and complete required documentation. Maintain daily production logs, job tickets, and quality forms accurately.
Conduct routine maintenance:
cleaning seal bars, sharpening blades, adjusting air cylinders, etc. Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality control to ensure smooth operations.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
