Key ResponsibilitiesFollow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to Soft Gel and Encapsulation equipmentImmediately bring any discrepancy to the attention of a supervisor, and obtain approval from the supervisor before operating the encapsulation equipmentSpreads Soft Gels onto drying traysMoves stacks of drying trays to the appropriate drying roomsFills out appropriate documentation on batch records, maintaining good documentation practices.

Helps monitor the machineAssists with gelatin and material changeover operationsAssists with performing In-process testing and checks throughout product runs and daily routinesAssists in basic cleaning of machines and production rooms following major and minor changeoversAssist in getting clearances from QA on appropriate equipment and GMP rooms for processingResponsible for following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), 21 CFR Part 211, and 21 CFR Part 111Understanding of Equipment SOPs.

Maintain neat and clean work areasMaintain a safe work environmentAssist in the disassembly of non-critical component machine partsAssist with the assembly and installation of all non-critical component equipment parts.

Assist with cleaning all non-critical component machine parts and equipmentOther duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED {General Educations Diploma)Experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredAble to read and follow SOPsAble to work in compliance with current GMPs Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical/ Work Environment/ ExpectationsThis position works within a GMP Manufacturing Environment, office environment and inside the plantMust be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.

Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear Personal Protective Equipment{PPE) overhead, face, hands, and armsNo make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in these work environments.

Pace may be fast, and job completion demands may be high.

While performing the duties, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and see, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
