JOB DESCRIPTION

Quality Control Associate Hours:
Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to end of production
Pay:
$ 16.00/hr
GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for the quality assurance of outbound customer shipments. Operations equipment assists with loading of trucks, and has the opportunity to assist with jockeying trucks into warehouse doors. Works in a safe and efficient manner and maintains a clean and organized working area
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understands and follows quality control standards to assure proper placement of product on shipping pallet, resolve problems occurring during QC activities and improve order accuracy Inspects and tests specific products to check for consistent and compliant quality as dictated by certain parameters. Assesses testing and inspection procedures and creates and revises quality control systems, plans, and procedures. Investigates and recommends corrective action for quality control problems, assists in quality control training, and assists supervisors in creating internal processes related to quality control. Audits all pallets that fail weight check inspection Maintain pallet wrapping equipment and dunnage in QC area Reports our nightly on pallet integrity and load accuracy Support production leads and operators with quality checking all pallets for correct product. Counts and verifies outgoing keg or caseloads against load sheets. Loads trucks in accordance with drivers' load sheets Checks and verifies load sheets and new orders to determine if additional products need to be added to trucks for delivery. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards. 1. Assists with keeping warehouse clean and orderly. 2. Works overtime when required.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Able to move easily around warehouse. Must be able to lift/move Kegs, which averages 170 pounds and can weigh up to a maximum of 186 pounds; you must be physically capable of routinely lifting at those weight levels. Must be able to regularly unload product (case of beer), which averages to 30 lbs., but can weigh up to a maximum of 49 lbs. Able to operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including safe operation of a forklift (may need to operate forklift for up to 75% of shift).
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role in warehouse operations. Forklift certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment. Exposure to machinery with moving parts. Some exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, chemicals, and outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
