Overview:

We are hiring a detail-oriented, dependable Bindery Operator to join our 2nd shift production team. This is a hands-on production role for someone who takes pride in clean setups, accurate counts, and getting the mail out the door on time. You will operate bindery and lettershop equipment at the direction of the Production Manager and serve as a key quality checkpoint before mail leaves our floor.

Responsibilities:

Set up, calibrate, and operate bindery and lettershop equipment, including programmable guillotine cutters and high-speed air-feed folders. Read, interpret, and follow job tickets and USPS postal paperwork accurately. Serve as a final quality control checkpoint - catching errors before mail leaves the floor. Perform minor maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on lettershop equipment to minimize downtime. Communicate clearly with the incoming shift regarding job status, equipment issues, and special instructions. your work area, equipment, and surrounding production floor clean, safe, and organized. Support cross-training across multiple machines and assist other operators when needed. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment What You Bring 1+ years of previous experience operating bindery or lettershop equipment (cutters, folders) - required. Strong mechanical aptitude for setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting. Sharp eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Comfort in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills - team player attitude. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. consistently and stand for the duration of the shift. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. What We Offer Starting pay at $22.00/hour, with room to grow based on skill and performance.
