Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging machinery to ensure products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and safely. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor packaging machines according to production schedules. Load and unload materials and products into/from machines. Ensure proper sealing, labeling, and packaging of finished goods. Inspect packages for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling. Record production data and maintain batch or shift logs. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major concerns to supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitation of machines. Follow all safety, GMP, and company procedures. Assist with line changeovers and general production tasks as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred . 6 months to 2+ years of machine operator or packaging experience preferred . Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with packaging or food production machinery. Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work assigned shifts.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing/production facility. Exposure to machinery, packaging materials, and varying temperatures. Requires standing, bending, and repetitive tasks.
