Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and fine-tune a range of bindery and finishing equipment, including machines with multiple cutting heads, control systems, and attachments such as inkjet and mailing components, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and gluing/binding units Configure and run automated bindery systems with multiple integrated functions (e.g., cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and high-speed binders) to convert printed materials into finished products like books, catalogs, manuals, and magazines Perform routine equipment checks to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety standards Operate adhesive binding systems (perfect binders), managing processes such as sheet feeding, milling, spine preparation, gluing, covering, and final stacking or delivery Adjust and synchronize multiple machine stations to maintain smooth, efficient production flow Lead and coordinate team members throughout the production process to meet deadlines and quality expectations Track and evaluate production performance, including output levels, efficiency, and product quality
Required Skills:
Experience setting up and operating bindery and finishing machines on a print production floor Ability to read and follow work orders and job instructions Basic mechanical skills and ability to adjust machines as needed
