Job Description:
Job Summary The Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting steel materials to specification and supporting warehouse operations through order fulfillment, inventory handling, and safe equipment operation. This role requires attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment. Physical Requirements Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching Function in the Job Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function Operate saw machines to cut steel materials according to work orders and specifications Accurately use basic measuring devices, including tape measures and micrometers Utilize manual hand tools such as wrenches and clamps Assemble customer orders in accordance with work orders Log, tag, and record inventory and material information per established procedures Record required material and production data on work orders or other forms as directed Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy Coordinate with multiple warehouse areas and team members to complete tasks efficiently Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures Perform additional warehouse duties as needed due to staffing coverage or workload demands Support special projects as assigned by management Work overtime and weekends as required based on business needs Required Skills Minimum 2-3 years of experience in industrial materials handling or warehouse operations Strong safety awareness; position is safety-sensitive for self and others Ability to stand for extended periods of time Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality Demonstrated initiative and ability to proactively seek and complete work Strong teamwork skills with a positive, motivated attitude Commitment to a respectful, culture-focused workplace
