We are seeking a Ribbon Associate to join a Cable Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the high-profile manufacture of optical ribbon products, ensuring every fiber meets or exceeds strict customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Setup:
Set up ribbon equipment, including fiber, matrix material, and printing tools. You will continuously monitor line variables such as speed, temperature, and fiber tension to maintain peak efficiency.Quality Assurance:
Perform critical optical testing using an OTDR to verify product length and attenuation. You will be responsible for identifying and rewinding defective products to minimize scrap and material loss.Data Management:
Accurately record manufacturing process data and quality checks into the Ribbon database using computer terminals and scanners.Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure equipment remains in optimal condition.Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Technical Skills:
Ability to use hand tools (calipers, pin gauges), operate computer touch screens, and apply basic math (ratios, percentages, and metric system).Physical Demands:
Ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of a 12-hour shift and lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally.Environment:
Comfortable working in a clean room environment requiring protective clothing and exposure to manufacturing heat.Aptitude:
reasoning skills to troubleshoot non-standardized situations and the composure to handle high-stress production scenarios. Training New associates will undergo 5 to 6 weeks of supervised on-the-job training. Full mastery of the ribbon operation is generally achieved within 6 months.salary:

High SchoolResponsibilitiesThe Ribbon Associate is responsible for the end-to-end setup and operation of ribbon manufacturing equipment, including loading fibers, managing matrix materials, and configuring printing systems. During the 12-hour shift, the associate continuously monitors line parameters-such as speed, temperature, and tension-to ensure efficiency and performs routine cleaning and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). A major portion of the role involves high-precision quality assurance, where the associate uses an OTDR to conduct optical testing for attenuation, length, and dimension to ensure products meet customer specifications.
