Box Erector Operator - 3rd shift

JOB SUMMARY

The Box Erector Operator is responsible for ensuring that all corrugated boxes are loaded efficiently and accurately on the lines. The Box Erector Operator will be responsible for wrapping finished pallets, transporting pallets of finished product to proper location for storage. The Box Erector Operator will perform duties while meeting all safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Responsible for setting up boxes for up to 2 production lines and verifies correct boxes are on the correct lines. Responsible for maintaining box supplies on the assigned lines Will clear jams on line as needed Responsible for safe and efficient operation of box erector machine Maintains safety, quality, and production standards for each production run Helps organize and clean warehouse and line Maintains a safe working environment and follows all safety policies. Follows all GMP and food safety policies Will operator forklift to transport finished product to proper freezer storage locations Will assist the packing department as needed to meet daily goals

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge of production / manufacturing process Mechanical and technical skill Knowledge of warehousing and inventory Must move with sense of urgency; time management skills are essential

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma; GED 2-3 years forklift operator experience Previous experience in warehouse environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed Protective gear such as gloves, work boots, and smocks required at all times Will work around moving machinery Will work in environment where temperature is 0- 40 degrees Fahrenheit

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Moderate to heavy physical effort required Regularly required to walk, reach, bend and stand for long periods of time throughout the day Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Will be expected to perform other related duties and assignments requested or directed Chairmans Foods is an EEO employer and conducts background checks and drug testing as part of the hiring process.
