Job Description

Job Summary (Must be able to read and use a tape measure) We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various machinery within our production facility. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and precision measurement tools to ensure high-quality output and efficient operations. Candidates with experience in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and fabrication are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, quality, and productivity are prioritized. Responsibilities Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses. Set up and program machinery using
CAD, CAM
programming, and CNC programming techniques to produce precise parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T standards, and tooling instructions to ensure accurate production. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. Handle materials using forklifts and other warehouse handling tools while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct quality control inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety guidelines and factory standards. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and fabrication processes to meet production goals. Document production data accurately for tracking and quality assurance purposes. Skills Proficiency with Fanuc controls, CNC programming (including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes), CAM programming, and PLC systems. Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, stamping presses, welding tools, and tooling setups. Strong blueprint reading skills with knowledge of GD&T principles. Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, materials handling, fabrication techniques, and tooling setup. Ability to use hand tools (calipers, micrometers) and precision measuring instruments for quality inspection. Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required in manufacturing settings. Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; warehouse experience is advantageous. Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining operations and materials handling. This position is ideal for candidates who are committed to precision manufacturing standards and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
