Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION AND COMPANY LOCATION
Conyers/Covington
GA 30014
Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently. Perform rough and finish grading for residential and commercial landscape projects. Read and interpret site plans, grading plans, elevations, and construction drawings. Establish proper slopes and drainage to ensure water runoff and prevent pooling. Prepare sites for sod, seed, planting beds, hardscapes, and irrigation systems. Excavate and backfill trenches for drainage and utility installations. Install and shape landscape features, retaining wall areas, and berms. Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance. Maintain a safe and organized job site. Work closely with project managers and crew members to ensure quality workmanship and project completion deadlines are met. Load, transport, and unload equipment and materials as needed. Proven experience with rough and finish grading. Ability to read grade stakes, laser levels, transit levels, and grading plans. Knowledge of drainage principles and site preparation techniques. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods. Ability to safely enter and exit equipment multiple times throughout the workday.
