- Full-time Overview The Tufting Creeler is responsible for setting up and maintaining the creel area to ensure the smooth operation of tufting machines.
This role involves handling yarn, ensuring proper threading, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Duties Check Order Paper:
Verify the order paper to ensure the correct lot number is assigned. Check Specs for
Correct Creel Thread Up:
Ensure the creel is threaded according to specifications.
Use Air Splicer Safely and Correctly:
Operate the air splicer with caution and precision.
Assist Tufting Operators:
Assist tufting operators as needed. Use Correct Labels for
Returning Yarn Cages:
Ensure returning yarn cages are labeled correctly. Hang Correct Lot Numbers on
Each Creel:
Accurately hang the correct lot numbers on each creel.
Monitor Yarn Supply:
Continuously monitor the yarn supply to prevent interruptions in production.
Replace Empty Yarn Packages:
Quickly and efficiently replace empty yarn packages to maintain continuous operation.
Check Yarn Quality:
Inspect yarn for defects and ensure it meets quality standards.
Maintain Creel Area:
Keep the creel area organized and free of debris.
Follow Safety Procedures:
Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on tufting machinery Experience with quality inspection processes to ensure consistent product standards Familiarity with sewing machines, sewing techniques, or textile manufacturing is a plus Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks for efficient warehouse operations Basic understanding of machining, screen printing, or other manufacturing processes is advantageous Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with adherence to safety guidelines Prior warehouse experience, including inventory management and materials movement, is preferred

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing or textile environment preferred. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods. Manual dexterity and ability to handle small tools and parts. Ability to lift and move heavy yarn packages.
Additional Responsibilities:
The employee shall undertake any additional tasks as required by the company, in line with the job description and under the guidance and supervision of the company. These tasks will be performed at times and locations deemed reasonable by the company.
