Job Description

Trimmer Apprentice - Sawmill Position Summary Beasley Group is seeking a hardworking and dependable Trimmer Apprentice to join our sawmill operations team in Hazlehurst, Georgia. This entry-level position is designed for individuals interested in learning the lumber and wood processing industry. The Trimmer Apprentice will assist with trimming, cutting, sorting, and handling lumber materials while learning safe equipment operation and production procedures in a fast-paced sawmill environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in trimming and processing lumber to production specifications Operate and learn sawmill machinery and trimming equipment under supervision Inspect lumber for quality and defects Stack, sort, and move lumber materials throughout the facility Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines Assist with routine equipment maintenance and cleanup Work closely with production team members to meet daily production goals Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred (but not required).
