NonePOSITION SUMMARY
Facilitate the manufacture of high quality brake pads in a safe and efficient manner; keeping in mind the needs of the company, our customers, our employees, and our community.POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A
non-supervisory member of the work group who will assist operators and supervisors in accomplishing daily objectives on the production lines. Assists with training, ensuring process controls are maintained, and performing tasks that take away from production time. Essential Functions of the position are: 1) Trains new operators in proper and safe methods utilizing the work standards. 2) Lead others by example in all aspects: Safety, Quality Productivity and attendance, 5S activity, and housekeeping work habits. 3) Knows and can perform most jobs in assigned work area, and has basic understanding of all jobs within assigned work area. 4) Knows proper usage and application of parts and materials in assigned work area. 5) Assists operators in assuring machinery, tools, and equipment are in good working order. 6) Assists in solving quality problems. 7) Performs data collection. 8) Monitors process and product control as identified on the condition check sheet. 9) Monitors component quantities and may restock the line as necessary. 10) Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in planning cross training and job rotation. 11) Cycle counts parts on the line. 12) Troubleshoots the process when problems arise, including adjustment of machines 13) In cases of absenteeism or high demand, an Area Lead may be asked by Management to fill a position on a production line.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with some leadership preferred. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required. The following skills and experience are needed to be a successful lead: .Leadership:
