Job Title:
Machine Operator - Polymer Plate Production Job Description The Machine Operator will produce flexographic photopolymer plates according to customer and job specifications. This role involves operating specialized equipment, organizing and filing job orders, and accurately logging production details in a computer system to support a high-quality packaging production environment. Responsibilities Operate equipment to produce flexographic photopolymer plates according to job and customer specifications. Review, organize, and prioritize job orders to ensure accurate and timely production. Set up, run, and monitor machines to maintain consistent quality and productivity. Perform basic quality inspections on plates to confirm they meet required standards before release. Accurately log orders, production details, and job status in the computer system. File and maintain job orders and related documentation in an organized manner for easy retrieval. Follow established production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times. Assist with general production and general labor tasks as needed to support overall workflow. Essential Skills Proven experience with machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to perform general production and general labor tasks safely and efficiently. Basic computer skills and comfort using a computer to log and track orders. Experience performing quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Strong attention to detail when following job instructions and handling job orders. Ability to stay organized while managing multiple job orders and documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with packaging or printing environments is an advantage. Experience working with photopolymer or flexographic plate-making equipment is a plus. Willingness to learn new processes and cross-train on additional production tasks. Work Environment This role is based in a production facility within the packaging industry, focused on manufacturing flexographic photopolymer plates. You will work with plate-making machinery, production equipment, and computer systems for order logging and documentation. The environment emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities for cross-training on different tasks and processes. Work is hands-on and active on the production floor, and you will collaborate closely with other team members to meet production goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marietta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
