The Operator A position is a critical role responsible for the efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment within a manufacturing or production environment. The primary goal of the Operator A is to ensure continuous production flow by monitoring equipment performance, performing routine maintenance, and promptly addressing any operational issues. This Operator A role requires adherence to safety protocols and quality standards to maintain a safe workplace and deliver products that meet company specifications. The Operator A will collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to optimize processes and contribute to overall operational excellence. Success in this role directly impacts production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.Key Responsibilities:
Pump raw material into storage tanks. Prepare premix slurry using company formulas. Operate sit-down forklift . Load scrap truck. Adjust glaze batches as required. Clean glaze magnetic filter after each use. Test glaze on a regular basis. Must meet daily glaze requirements. Keep the work area clean and free of safety hazards. Additional duties as assigned.Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly. Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance teams. Maintain accurate production logs and report any deviations or incidents to supervisors promptly. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions to promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve operational processes. Assist in the setup and calibration of equipment as needed to support production requirements.Special Requirements:
Read, write and perform simple mathematical computations. Must have great attention to detail. Mechanically inclined / Good will tools and machinery.Additional Skills and Experience Required:
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical computations. 1yr. Production/Manufacturing experience. Character•Perform tasks in accordance with specific and detailed instructions. Contact•Performance of job requires limited contact with others. Must be able to give or obtain needed information or coordinate operation initiative. A minimum degree of independent action and determination.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial machinery. Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes. Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Certification in workplace safety or equipment operation. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends if required.Work Environment:
Limited heat in winter, not air conditioned in summer. Summer heat is moderate to hot. Minor exposure to odors as well as fumes from gas operated lift trucks. Moderate noise levels are present. Job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) that may include, but not limited to; face masks, protective gloves, earplugs, safety glasses, protective sleeves, and safety shoes. Minimal possibility of accidents of a minor nature requiring first aid.
