Yes - Metro Atlanta markets Role Summary The Market Ambassador is responsible for executing Pink's Barbecue's presence at weekend farmers markets across the Metro Atlanta area. This includes picking up and loading all required equipment and food from the base location prior to the market, transporting it to the market site, setting up, actively selling during peak hours, and returning all equipment and remaining product after breakdown. Success in this role is straightforward: show up reliably, handle logistics without issues, engage customers proactively, and convert market traffic into revenue. Market Locations This role requires travel to multiple markets, including: Marietta Square Farmers Market Morningside Farmers Market Virginia-Highland Farmers Market Alpharetta Farmers Market Peachtree City Farmers Market Candidates must be comfortable traveling to different locations depending on the weekly schedule. Key Responsibilities1. Pickup, Transport & Logistics Pick up food, equipment, and supplies from base location prior to market Load and transport all required items safely to market locations Ensure all necessary materials arrive on-site, organized and ready for setup Return equipment and remaining product to base after market 2. Setup & Breakdown Arrive on time for early setup (around 6:30 AM) Set up booth, equipment, signage, and product displays Break down and pack up efficiently at the end of the market 3. Sales & Customer Engagement Actively engage customers and convert foot traffic into purchases Clearly explain menu items, portions, and pricing Upsell combos, add-ons, and featured items 4. Booth Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing booth Help manage lines and customer flow during peak times Support smooth coordination with the cooking/operations team 5. Sampling & Food Safety Prepare, heat, and serve food samples in a safe, clean, and compliant manner Follow all food safety and handling guidelines at all times Maintain cleanliness of sampling area, utensils, and serving surfaces Ensure proper food temperatures and safe storage during market operations 6. Brand Representation Represent Pink's Barbecue with energy, professionalism, and authenticity Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience Encourage repeat visits and word-of-mouth referrals 7. Market Feedback Share insights on customer preferences and buying behavior Identify top-selling items and missed sales opportunities Report on overall market traffic and competitor activity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales performance during assigned market days Customer engagement and conversion effectiveness Average order value (upselling success) Reliability and punctuality across locations Quality and consistency of booth execution Required Qualifications Prior experience in customer service, food service, retail, promotions, or event-based work preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a sales mindset Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting market equipment, supplies, and food (SUV, truck, or similar preferred) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable handling product transport, setup logistics, and basic inventory accountability Ability to lift and carry equipment (typically 30-50 lbs) and work on feet for extended periods Comfortable working early mornings and outdoors in varying weather conditions Basic understanding of food safety practices (ServSafe certification a plus) Highly reliable with strong punctuality, especially for early call times Core Traits (Non-Negotiable)
