Machine Operator & Set Up Technician

Due to increased business, we have additional openings in our Rossville facility for a

MACHINE OPERATOR & SETUP TECHNICIAN.

WHAT WE OFFER

Weekly Pay Starting Salary:

$17

• $19 per hour with 90-day performance review ($18.25
• 20.25 with weekly bonus attached
• see next bullet). $50/week attendance bonus, just for working your shift (this is subject to change)

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday

• Thursday, 5A-3:30P with Overtime, as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets up and operates manufacturing machinery based on schematics. Fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines. Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines required by studying specifications, such as blueprint, sketch, damaged part or description of part. Plans and executes assignments using machine tools ranging from lathes to milling machines. May operate computer console/computer-controlled machine. Utilizes precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work Requires machine shop training in mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout and machining procedures

YOU MUST MEET ALL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THE NEXT THREE SECTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE. QUALIFICATIONS

Experience noted on resume & responses must speak to the responsibilities of this position. Proficient use of hand and power tools. Proficient in understanding measurements/variances/tolerances. Experience reading tape measurers, calipers, micrometers. Experience running manufacturing machinery (i.e. Roll Mill, Press Machine, etc.) OR demonstrated experience/background in repairing complex machinery. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, etc. Excellent trouble-shooting capabilities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to meet attendance standards. Able to perform physical tasks of job such as lifting (up to 50lbs), and pushing up to 300lbs, bending, walking, standing, stooping, pushing, pulling as required to perform tasks. Eyesight appropriate for assigned task

PHYSICAL ABILITIES / REQUIREMENTS

Visual and Hearing:

Must be able to see with corrective eye wear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance, while wearing hearing protection. Lifting-must be able to lift 0-50 lbs and/or greater than 50 lbs with assistance, push up to 300 lbs Standing, walking and running; repetitive movement; bending or twisting; exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable; exposure to contaminants and hazardous equipment; exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings; meeting strict deadlines; responsibility for the health and safety of others; and, wearing of protective or safety equipment. Must be able to pass basic Reading and Math Test, if required. Must be quality-oriented and safety-focused.   The schedule for this role is 5A-3.30P Mon-Thursday with OT as needed. Do those hours work for you?
