Weekend Machine Operator III Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate production equipment, assemble products, perform quality checks, and package finished goods. This role involves supporting various stages of the production process in a clean, team-oriented warehouse environment . Experience in a warehouse or similar production setting is highly valued. Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred. Responsibilities Operate slitter machines and other production equipment safely and efficiently. Perform accurate product assembly and labeling tasks to meet quality targets. Carry out basic quality checks on materials to identify any defects. Utilize basic math and reading skills to follow written instructions and verify product counts . Collaborate in small teams to complete daily production goals. Essential Skills 2+ years of prior experience in a similar environment. Proficiency in machine operation , assembly, and packaging tasks. Experience with basic material handling and staging items for production. Knowledgeable in basic safety procedures and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work a first-shift schedule (Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Capability to work in a clean warehouse environment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves. Possession of steel-toe boots and adherence to a dress code of jeans or sturdy work pants. Strong attention to detail and a record of reliable attendance and punctuality. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a clean warehouse and production area . You will be part of a small, collaborative team of 2-4 people focusing on safety and following established procedures. The environment is focused on high-quality standards and efficiency in a structured, professional setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
