Job Title:
Assembly Welder Function Summary The Assembly Welder's primary role is to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment using Lean practices. Key responsibilities include sub-assembly and final assembly of machines and parts. Key Responsibilities Adhere to directions from the Floor Supervisor or designated personnel. Maintain workplace safety by following all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and company equipment. Represent the company positively by upholding core values both inside and outside the facility. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, management, customers, and others. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately. Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles. Utilize hand measuring tools, power tools, and hand tools to ensure work meets specifications and tolerances. Perform MIG welding according to drawings and specifications. Identify assembly components and hardware. Operate motorized equipment to move materials within the facility. Conduct visual inspections of assemblies to ensure quality standards are met. Safely operate and inspect overhead cranes and jib hoists. Work at elevated heights when required. Cross-train in other assembly and final assembly functions. Prepare welded assemblies for shipment.
Job Requirements Education/Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 2-5 years of manufacturing experience required. 1 year of technical training in an industrial setting. 1 year of experience reading blueprints.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong mechanical aptitude. Stable work history with positive behavior. Basic computer literacy for attendance and job tracking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals. Creativity and adaptability to meet company objectives. Physical Requirements This role primarily operates in a manufacturing setting and requires prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Must possess mobility to travel domestically as needed. Requires good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, visual acuity for keyboard use, and the ability to lift, carry, and move materials as assigned.
