Plastic Extrusion

OVERVIEW

General labor position available at a plastics manufacturing facility in Fairfield, IA area. This is a Full-Time job opportunity in the secondary department. Evening hours are from Monday to Friday.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to follow directions: Must be able to complete assigned tasks as instructed by the supervisor to ensure priorities are met.

Attention to detail:

Must be able to accurately apply sheeting material and assemble parts required to meet specifications and client needs.

Manual dexterity:

Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools for cutting, trimming, and attaching parts for assembly.

Time management skills:

Must be able to efficiently manage their time to complete orders in a timely manner.

Communication skills:

Good communication skills are necessary to work effectively with other warehouse personnel.

Dependability:

Reliability and consistency of attendance, punctuality, and completion of assigned tasks according to established standards and expectations with little supervision.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Physical dexterity: The employee must be able to bend, twist, and reach while handling items and hand tools. The employee is also required to stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, and to hear.

Lifting:

The employee must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

Vision:

The vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Endurance:

The employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Exposure to elements:

The employee will be working in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to varying temperatures and inclement weather conditions. There will also be frequent exposure to dirt and dust.

Noise level:

The employee will be exposed to a moderate noise level in the workplace for much of the day, due to the constant use of forklifts and power tools.

High School Diploma/Equivalent

Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM WAGE $16 BACKGROUND
