Machine Shop Assistant 770 W Belden Ave, Addison, IL 60101 $18

General Duties:
Assisting machine shop supervisors and machine operators with day-to-day tasks. Loading 12 ft bars of material into machine spindles. Assisting in stocking material in machine racks. Clean out back of machine sumps
  • remove metal turnings.
Push carts of turnings to chip spinner. Operate chip spinner and oil recovery center. Use chain hoist to load barrels of chips into spinner. Responsible for oil storage and distribution. Operate parts washing equipment, load and unload 6 baskets of production. Retrieve finished parts in production baskets from machine centers. Replenish machine centers with empty baskets. Haul scrap to scrap luger box, using the forklift Assisting in keeping shop floor clean and organized Replenish oil dry to all designated work centers Removal of saturated oil dry and replace with clean oil dry. Shop floor sweeping, minimum weekly Trash collection daily
Requirements:
Must be capable of lifting over 50-75 lbs. Bending, standing, lifting throughout shift Must be at least 18 years old. Minimum high school graduate or GED Forklift and chain hoist crane experience, required. Manufacturing experience, required.
