THANKS Partnership with a Large International European Based OEM. Looking for an experienced CNC technician (2 years minimum) with CNC field service engineer experience. The focus will be learning milling technology. The ideal candidate will be approximately no more than 1 hour from the Chicago area. Experience should include hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of various CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience with Siemens and Heidenhain controls a plus.
Traveling:
  • Once you complete training with the OEM (3 to 5 months), you will be operating in a traveling technician role Mon-Fri. There will be some work to do at the corporate headquarters within their demo center (HQ in Chicago)
  • but still need to be prepared to travel Mon-Fri.
  • Service technician is responsible for providing reliable transportation.
  • Training:
    each service technician will undergo approximately 12 to 16 weeks of training with the OEM. This will be paid training time. There will also be paid shadowing sessions with more senior technicians.
  • Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer regarding status of machine issues, repairs, and installation
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry
  • Able to climb ladders and to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Able to safely operate a lift truck and lifting equipment or the rigging of machine tools.
