Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Mixer to join our production team and play a key role in delivering a consistently excellent product to our customers. In this role, you will prepare and mix recipe formulations accurately and efficiently, maintain an organized and safe work area, and follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience measuring, mixing, and following recipe formulations, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Shift times are Monday-Thursday, 4:30am-3pm (no overnight or weekend shifts)
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and food preparation equipment
  • Prepare and measure ingredients to use in formulas/recipes
  • Prepare and process food recipes using a kettle, mixers, die machines, and other necessary mechanical machines
  • Preparation of individual binder recipes
  • Set up die machines
  • Set up the screen at the end of the line
  • Monitoring of food while mixing
  • Ensure all machines are running properly
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in assigned work areas
  • Ensure all food ingredients and other items are stored properly
  • Check the quality of ingredients
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, utensils, and floor area at end of shift
  • Monitor stock and place orders with your supervisor when there are shortages
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with resilience and adapt positively to pressure, setbacks, challenges, and change in schedule to sustain peak effectiveness
  • Legibly and accurately complete required daily documentation
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of assigned responsibilities
  • Good computer skills
  • Good math skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven success in positively interacting with peers and upper management
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50# bags
  • Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels and work in hot and cold conditions
