Batch Mixer Job Description The Batch Mixer II is responsible for the safe and efficient manufacturing of chemical batches in accordance with established formulas, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures. This role involves troubleshooting process issues, supporting continuous improvement, and serving as a resource for other batch makers. Ensuring the integrity of raw materials, equipment, documentation, and final product quality while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications is crucial. Responsibilities Manufacture chemical batches safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot process issues and support continuous improvement. Serve as a resource for other batch makers. Ensure the integrity of raw materials, equipment, and documentation. Maintain compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications. Essential Skills 1 year of experience in batch mixing, compounding, blending, or chemical operations. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Strong understanding of chemical handling, mixing operations, and industrial safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret batch sheets, SOPs, and technical documents. Proficiency with scales, meters, temperature control systems, and material transfer equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude. Ability to perform simple math such as division, multiplication, addition, and subtraction. Work Environment This role requires working on your feet for extended periods in a hot or cold industrial environment. The position involves handling and lifting materials weighing over 50 pounds, adhering to industrial safety protocols, and working with equipment such as scales, meters, and temperature control systems. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr. medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company matching, disability, paid time off, and potential bonuses. Some positions may offer Day 1 benefits, while others provide 401(k) matching up to 6% after 3 months. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Elgin,IL.
