Resume, Interview, Background Check , Drug Test, E-verify Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of sawing equipment used to cut materials to precise specifications. This role requires accuracy, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Essential Functions Set up, operate, and tend sawing machines including circular saws, band saws, multiple-blade saws, scroll saws, ripsaws, and crozer machines. Adjust saw blades using tools such as wrenches, rulers, hand wheels, pedals, levers, or control panels. Select appropriate saw blades, materials, and cutting procedures based on work orders or supervisor instructions. Inspect and measure materials and finished workpieces to ensure accuracy using rulers, squares, and calipers. Mark materials for cuts and verify dimensions to ensure compliance with specifications. Inspect raw stock for defects and determine material quality or grade. Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of equipment using grease guns, solvents, and tools. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality output. Follow all company safety and quality procedures at all times. Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns immediately. Perform all essential duties and additional tasks as assigned by supervision. Required Skills & Abilities Ability to operate and control machinery and equipment safely and effectively Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and identify maintenance needs Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor machine performance Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and correct operational issues Ability to perform basic math including fractions and decimals Ability to read and interpret work instructions and measurements Required Knowledge & Qualifications Must be able to read, write, and understand English Ability to read and interpret tape measures and micrometers accurately Strong understanding of basic math concepts including fractions and decimals Must be able to pass forklift and overhead crane training Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Frequent lifting, moving, and handling of materials Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Pay:
Up to $19.00 per hour
