Position Summary:
The Waste Water Treatment Operator is responsible for running all of the components of the Waste Treatment system. This includes operating the filter press, making sure all chemical feeds are functioning properly and analyzing the water samples to ensure water is within EPA guidelines.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Perform PM's to the system Ø Check the water at the AA Machine - Analyze discharge for limit maintenance Ø Maintain processing baths at optimal levels Ø Clean the filter as necessary Ø Clean probes 2 times per shift Ø Ensure chemical feeds are operating properly Ø Check the Sludge Machine every fifteen minutes Ø Inventory chemical storage tanks Ø Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor Ø Exercise proper care of tools and equipment Ø Wear all required safety equipment
Experience and Skills:
Ø Minimum 1 year of industry, manufacturing, or relevant experience
ABILITY TO
Read, write, and understand basic English Understand and follow detailed operating verbal or written instructions Operate a forklift Possess a basic knowledge job familiarity knowledge of other departmental functions related to the job Ability to multitask Provide input to Maintenance Department regarding equipment issues Exhibit flexibility with regard to job duties and schedule including OT, holidays or weekends Execute independent action and prioritize work Assist in special assignments designated by the supervisor or department manager Accept constructive feedback
Education:
High School Degree Physical Demands:
Ø Able to lift a minimum of 75lbs periodically throughout the day
Environment:
The position is located on the floor of a manufacturing facility. Temperatures as well as noise can be extreme. Safety equipment must be utilized at all times. Produce to Schedule Quality/Safety Housekeeping Operate to WI & Standard Procedures ID/Report Issues to mgmt.
