6AM-2:30PM, 3PM-11:30PM Join a dynamic aerospace manufacturing team in Elk Grove Village as a Masking Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialized skills in aerospace masking processes within a safety-focused environment. Masking Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping protocols, including the proper use of PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel toe work shoes
• Apply masking materials accurately on aerospace parts and assemblies using established techniques
• Use sharp cutting tools and handle controlled exposure to solvents safely
• Produce first article masking samples that meet quality standards consistently
• Complete shop documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including work orders, inspection reports, and process documentation
• Collaborate with team members across de-masking, inspection, and chemical processing tasks
• Engage in continuous training, process improvement initiatives, and performance assessments

Masking Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; production experience preferred
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers
• Basic understanding of company pretreatment processes (e.g., anodize, chem film, passivation)
• Good attention to detail, neatness, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated AS9100 / Nadcap / Lean 5S environment
• Visual acuity to see small details and good manual dexterity to handle parts of varying sizes and weights
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift parts as needed
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. under applicable criteria
• Use of PPE including ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel-toe work shoes is mandatory
• Equipment used includes masking tools, precision measuring devices, and cutting instruments
