Machine Changeover Specialist

About the Role As a Machine Changeover Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing production efficiency by managing equipment setups and ensuring high-quality output. You will leverage your technical expertise in thermoforming and automation to minimize downtime and drive consistent manufacturing performance. Responsibilities Execute major and minor changeovers on thermoforming and labeling equipment to ensure seamless production transitions. Perform precision repairs on molds and trim tools, ensuring all components meet rigorous quality standards for first-run parts. Utilize industrial measurement tools like micrometers and calipers to verify machine settings and maintain process accuracy. Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and restore line functionality rapidly. Document all changeover events and maintenance activities within the CMMS to track labor and parts usage effectively. Assist in training production operators on machine controls and best practices to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Monitor manufacturing processes proactively to identify and resolve bottlenecks that impact production goals. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in a technical machine setup or maintenance role within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently. Proficiency in reading and operating complex machine computer consoles. Ability to interpret technical specifications and use precision measurement equipment. Preferred Skills Completion of specialized technical training or equivalent vocational certification. Experience with thermoforming or high-speed automation equipment. Familiarity with CMMS software and production documentation protocols. High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
