Full Job Description Job Title:
Machine OperatorPosition Summary 2ND SHIFT The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of production machinery. This role ensures that all processes meet quality standards, production schedules, and safety protocols. You will be expected to monitor equipment performance, conduct routine maintenance, and document production data accurately.
Core Responsibilities Machine Setup & Operation:
Calibrate and operate machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure proper alignment and functionality of equipment before and during production runs.
Quality Control:
Perform visual inspections and use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges) to ensure finished products meet specifications.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues (e.g., jams, sensor obstructions). Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
Documentation:
Accurately record production data, including work orders, material inputs, downtime, and output quantities.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with supervisors and production teams to maintain workflow continuity and meet daily production targets.
Required Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing is a plus.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience operating production or manufacturing machinery.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical schematics, and work instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 35-50 lbs.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and reliable communication skills.
Computer Literacy:
Basic ability to use company systems for data entry and reporting.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
