4:00PM - 2:30AM Overview Xcel is seeking a reliable Temp to hire Deflection Operator to join our team! The Deflection operator performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Run assigned mechanical equipment efficiently and safely Ensure all produced items meet quality control requirements Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and make necessary adjustments Utilize basic measuring instruments to verify product specifications Read and interpret blueprints when applicable Complete first piece inspections as needed Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications 1 year of experience within mechanical or machine operation Precision measurement Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directions Documentation Basic mathematical skills Physical requirements Must be able to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly Required to stand for extended periods Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds Frequent bending and stooping required Must have the dexterity to handle small objects Must be able to work in noisy environments PPE Requirements Employees are responsible for wearing steel toe shoes on-site Employer is responsible for providing safety glasses and earplugs on-site Pay 20.09 per hour + 2.50 shift differential Benefits ACA medical coverage plans that include three options to choose from A 401(k) plan is an employer sponsored retirement plan that allows employees to save and invest for the future including a company match Paid Leave pursuant to the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA) EEO Policy Xcel Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer All aspects of employment including the decision to hire, promote, discipline, or discharge, will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs.
