November 6, 2018Position Overview:
Provide lean manufacturing support to company lean program. Capable of set-up and operate shaper machines and vertical/horizontal hob equipment to produce quality products and generate gear data requirements for all customer opportunities.Essential Job Functions:
Set-up and operate gear shaping and hobbing machines Maintain clean and organized departments Analyze/interpret travelers and blueprints Line up tooling for machine production (leads kit with required tooling) Complete all paperwork to specifications Set-up vari-rolls for inspection Analyze prints and requirements to determine speeds and feeds Fill out first article sheets Know machines' capabilities and limitations Make size changes accordingly When able, run multiple machinesNon-Essential Job Functions:
Abide by company handbook regulations Set-up DIATEST for initial internal and helix gears Determine need for new cutter or re-sharpeningSkills/Requirements:
Knowledge of DIATEST for internal and helix gears Ability to read and analyze blueprints Basic computer skills Ability to set-up/operate all department machines Moderate skills in mathematics Basic UTS software knowledge Ability to train on as needed basis Self-motivation Basic gear cutting/machine knowledge Ability to make machine corrections to enhance quality Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Five years experience in field Gear schoolsBenefits:
