This role involves operating surface mount technology (SMT) machines used in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining SMT equipment to ensure high-quality production standards. This position offers weekly pay and provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Hours:

(1st Shift) 7:00AM - 3:30PM /(2nd Shift) 4:00PM - 12:30

AM Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate SMT pick-and-place machines for PCB assembly, ensuring precise placement of electronic components Monitor machine operation throughout production runs, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency Conduct routine inspections of assembled PCBs, verifying component placement and solder joints according to IPC 610 standards Perform troubleshooting on SMT equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, machine settings, and quality checks Assist with machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration to ensure optimal operation Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters to perform mechanical and electrical adjustments or repairs Read schematics and electrical wiring diagrams to support assembly and troubleshooting tasks Follow safety protocols related to soldering, electrical wiring, and mechanical work in a manufacturing setting

Requirements:

Prior experience operating SMT or surface mount technology machinery in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and soldering techniques Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and machine control systems Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters Basic electrical knowledge including schematics, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting skills Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Mechanical knowledge related to machining or mechanical assembly is preferred Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Join our team as an SMT Machine Operator to contribute your technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
