This role assists the press operator with setup, adjustments, maintenance, and material handling to ensure efficient production and high‑quality output. The Press Feeder plays an important role in maintaining press readiness, product quality, and a clean, safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Clear machines before and after each run; remove and properly dispose of all foreign material. Empty waste receptacles within designated press areas. Review job tickets and select the correct type and quantity of paper. Load and unload paper and inspect stock for defects or damage. Obtain proper ink from the ink room and maintain correct ink fountain levels. Mix fountain solution and set up dampening systems; monitor pH balance and conductivity. Set up and operate the mechanical press feeder. Assist press operators with mounting plates, blankets, and packing. Move printed and unprinted stock as needed. Perform routine press adjustments during production runs. Maintain housekeeping at the press, ensuring adequate supplies of chemicals and clean rags. Complete ISO forms and quality checks accurately and on time for each job. Mark printed sheets for coating knockouts and verify sheets against mylar. Perform all work in compliance with federal, state, local, and company safety rules. Perform other duties as assigned to support press operations. What You Need to Succeed Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.. Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through prior experience or ability to pass a mechanical assessment. Ability to obtain a forklift license. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
