JOB SUMMARY

The Machine Operator fabricates parts by positioning or aligning workpieces against stops and guides or with dies; operating equipment; observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls; and replacing dies. This role is an important role in the construction of our portal saw mills and industrial equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Set up and operate any assigned machine in manufacturing area. Read blueprint and fabricate part per print specifications. Inspect own production frequently using proper gauges or measuring instrument. Clean work area daily. Train other employees. Meet production goals. Count parts accurately. Lift 50 lbs. to waist. Ability to retain learned knowledge. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times. Stand 8 to 10 hours each day. Required for All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Following all rules, policies, and procedures established by Wood-Mizer, including codes of conduct, safety regulations, and other guidelines. Showing up for work on time and adhering to Wood-Mizer's attendance policies is a fundamental responsibility for all employees. Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment. Conducting oneself in a professional manner, which includes maintaining a positive attitude, respecting colleagues, and presenting oneself appropriately. QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience 1-3 years | Fabrication experience
