In this role, you will assist in maintaining and repairing machinery crucial to steel production, operate various hand and power tools, and assist with fabrication tasks to ensure smooth operations within a busy manufacturing facility. Your mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach will help maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while providing maintenance to the steel industry. Duties Assist with maintenance operations by handling materials and components with precision and care Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, or modify equipment and parts as needed Support fabrication activities such as grinding, cutting/fitting, organizing, and maintaining cleanliness Conduct routine inspections of machinery and tools to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Follow safety protocols diligently to create a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently while maintaining quality standards Requirements Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly processes is a strong advantage Comfort using hand tools and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and move throughout shifts Knowledge of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments is beneficial This role offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact production success.
