Manufacturing Full Job Description Position Overview:

OCH is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery to produce high-quality cabinet components while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery such as CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, dowel machines, and other shop equipment
• Read and interpret job orders, cut lists, and production specifications
• Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
• Conduct routine tool checks and changes to maintain quality standards
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Communicate machine issues or production delays to leadership promptly
• Assist with workflow efficiency and continuous improvement efforts
• Cross training is not an option, an open mindset for continuous training is a must
• Great attendance and being on time is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or woodworking environment preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic shop math
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and team-oriented

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials

Work Environment:

Manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to some wood dust and machinery noise. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as, eye protection is a must.

Pay:

$20.00 per hour
