Machine Operator Operate take up and assist line operator with running the machine. Operate per the applicable procedures. Change out reels of cable while maintaining line function. Utilize tagging system to label reels. Do not release products until all quality checks have been passed. Perform quality checks, as outlined in the process procedures for the machine, and minor maintenance when necessary. Immediately report quality issues to the supervisor or quality manager. Follow all safety procedures and rules and properly wear all required PPE. Responsible to observe Southwire safety rules and maintain good housekeeping. Maintain all work areas to 5S standards.

Requirements:

Machine Operator High school diploma or equivalent(documentation required) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous machine operating experience Ability to work in factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations Ability to stand for long periods of time - 12 hour shifts Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as well as pulling and pushing Must have solid oral, written, and listening communication skills Must have basic math and computer skills Must have excellent attendance
