Job Description

Job Summary The focus of this role is to set up, maintain, change over, operate, and troubleshoot Multislide (slide-forming) machines used to punch, cut, and form metal strips and wire into finished parts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery, product quality, safety, and overall production efficiency while supporting company performance objectives. Responsibilities and Activities Set up, maintain, change over, operate, and tear down Multislide machines to produce metal components Ensure on-time delivery of parts to the next operation while maintaining quality and safety standards Respond proactively to feedback from management to improve performance Communicate effectively with production planning to meet production schedules Operate within company-defined best practices and procedures Work with maintenance to resolve tooling or equipment issues and implement improvements Partner with Quality to identify root causes and support corrective actions Support customer requirements and assist with quality concerns when needed Assist in training team members as needed Perform transactions and maintain data within the Plex ERP system Complete required administrative tasks to support production control Competencies Alignment with Company Mission, Values, and Quality Management System Safety-first mindset Mechanical aptitude Analytical thinking Attention to detail and accuracy Accountability and dependability Ability to follow work instructions and processes Teamwork and collaboration Cost-benefit decision making Technical proficiency (ERP System) Understanding of SPC and quality systems Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required 2-5 years of machine setup experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately Ability to problem solve and follow instructions Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
